Summer Internship - Content Researcher and Data Scrapper

About the Role

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Content Researcher and Data Scrapper Intern to join our team for the summer. In this role, you will focus on automated data acquisition, curating educational and technical content, and helping expand our online platforms. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience building structured datasets, writing extraction scripts, and understanding data workflows in a real-world software environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain web scraping scripts to extract structured educational, question bank, or technical data from designated online sources.
• Clean, validate, and preprocess extracted data (using Python, Node.js, Excel, or Google Sheets) to ensure accuracy, quality, and consistency.
• Perform research to identify high-quality educational content, curriculum maps, and references.
• Structure and format datasets (into JSON, CSV, etc.) for direct integration with our databases and application systems.
• Collaborate with the development team to automate content ingestion pipelines and update existing databases.

Requirements & Eligibility

• Familiarity with web scraping principles, DOM structure, XPath, CSS selectors, and REST APIs.
• Basic programming knowledge in Python (libraries like BeautifulSoup, Scrapy, Selenium, Requests) or JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Familiarity with regular expressions (regex) and data parsing techniques.
• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a research-oriented mindset.
• A personal laptop and a stable internet connection are required.
• Ability to work independently in a remote setting and communicate progress daily.
